Charter Commission Official Actions Suspended Effective March 3rd, 2008
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Commission as follows:
The Commission and all of its official actions shall be suspended commencing on March 3, 2008, or on the date of submission of the proposed home rule charter to City Council, whichever is later, such suspension to remain in effect until the final canvass of the vote of the electors at the June 10, 2008, special election. If a majority of the electors voting thereon vote to approve the charter, the Commission shall be dissolved. If a majority of the electors voting thereon vote to reject the proposed charter, the Commission shall proceed to prepare a revised charter in accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Home Rule Act of 1971.
